What is comparable to this rifle. I want something like this that is light, compact and preferably foldable. I may be looking to trade one of my 5.45x39 saigas.

Kel tec sub 2000

Don't do it. While it is an effective weapons system it can not run aluminium cased ammo and you will pay 2x to 3x msrp to get one in California.Want to Buy: Ruger PC9 Magazine Buttstock Pouch -
If you are talking pistol cartridge then there is no other rifle comparable to the Sub2000. If you are talking rifle cartridge then one of the SU16 varients would be the only game in town. Both are KelTec products.Comment

Hm. That's interesting. Never tried to run Aluminum cased ammo. When I imported mine into CA, it was only $50 for the bullet button and gunsmithing to install it.
They're hard to find, reportedly because the military is spec'ing them as a survival gun to be placed in all aircraft emergency survival kits, and that's been using up all of Kel-Tec's production capacity for the past two years. Who knows.
It's a blast to shoot, and fairly accurate out to 100 yards (4-5moa with WWB), which is as good as I ever thought factory 9mm would do."Ecuador offers the United States $23 million a year in economic aid, an amount similar to what we were receiving under the tariff benefits, with the purpose of providing human rights training that will contribute to avoid violations of people's privacy, that degrade humanity," --Fernando AlvaradoComment

Got the .40s&w one. $250 for the gun and $25 for bb. Thdn the dros fee of course. Fun gun. Problably the rarest gun I own.Comment

I'd say that I like mine unconditionally, but I'm left handed and not only does it occasionally dump gas and debris into my face, but also marks up my shirt with grease rings from ejected cases. The wife never has to ask if I've been to the range when I shoot the Sub.
The closest equivalent to the Sub that I can think of is the Just Right carbine... and they're no easier to find right now than the Sub2K.I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!Comment

The beretta carbine seems to be nice but It obviously doesn't fold and its much more expensive. Mine runs anything I put in it. Brass or aluminum.Comment

I would buy a kel tec sub2000 9mm Glock 17 if I could find one for around msrp, the prices that they are going for now are too much.Want to Buy: Ruger PC9 Magazine Buttstock PouchComment

Prices are finally dropping a bit and availability is increasing now. We love our Sub2000's. In fact, they are some of the most shot and funnest guns we all have!
We're running a special on upgrade parts for them:

Check in the private firearms long guns section and look for North Jersey. I got mine from him. Very fair pricing and great to deal with. If you want one get one don't get a substitute or you will just end up buying one later anyways. My 2 cents.Comment

I would recommend the Ruger pc4 or pc9 carbine if you can find one at a decent price. Its featureless so you don't have to worry about having a bullet button."Suck on my machine gun" (Ted Nugent)
