from the op rod handle and rear sight yeah it is but what bothers me is the front profile doesn't look right.

The thing in the original photo was a construct for a publicity pic for a movie.
It was made of several different firearms and fabricated bits.
The gun she used in the robbery was a cut down carbine.
I'm not sure if it's the same as the real publicity photo the SLA used her for.
That's my excuse and I'm taking it.Comment

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms, disarm only those who are neither inclined, nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants. They serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
-- Thomas Jefferson, 1764

I dunno where you got that Kristen Bell is Patty Hearst's daughter but she isn't. link
Kirstens mothers name is Loreli and she was born in Michigan about the same time Patty Hearst's sentence was being commuted by Jimmy Carter.

Rear grip location and magazine well are wrong for a Thompson. Thompsons have the receiver extending to the rear of the pistol grip 6 or 7" and there is no mag well to speak of, just a cut in the frame.
Im inclined to think it was just a cobbed together prop gun."You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

. The magazine cover photo is dark to the point that I couldn't make out much detail, so both guns appeared similar to me. But then again, I am vision challenged
