    CA legal AR-15

    Hello,

I am new to this forum so please bear with me.

I am from MN and built a AR-15 for a friend in CA. I went to my FFL today to ship it (to another FFL) and he informed me that he could not ship it to CA because it was a Bushmaster even though it had a bullet button on it. Is the XM-15 lower illegal in CA?

If so I can replace it with a Stag lower.... Is this legal.

I appreciate your answers in advance.

        Pic or AR

        Hello,

So this is the AR15 in question. Replacing the lower with a Stag Arms with a bullet button. Does anyone see anything else that would be illegal in CA? My biggest question is the A2 style flash hider birdcage. I have read conflicting information all over the internet on these in CA.

        Thank you

Once you use the Stag lower and equip it with a BB, then you're good to go. Having a magazine locked rifle allows you to have features, a FH being one of those features (as well as the PG and collapsible stock).
