    EoTech or Trijicon Reflex

Was debating on which weapons sight to go with once my build is done. I am looking for any opinions or experiences with either of these sights. I am going with a 16 inch barrel and was told the EoTech will be the best match. Any insight would be greatly appreciative.

The Trijicon is simple and reliable, but it's a bit dim shooting from a dark position in to light. I own one, but I think that I might get the EOTech next time.

EOTech... Cant beat the 1 MOA dot.... Unless you had the triangle recticle on the reflex.. But then again like stated in the previous post sometimes its dim.

EOtech RULES! I have a 552 on my Bushmaster M4 upper and use the ARMS #40 backup sight with it. I love the dual co-witness set-up with the ARMS #40.

The only downside to the EOTech is that it's heavier than anything else out there. However, for the price I also believe it's the best thing out there. The 65 MOA circle and 1 MOA dot makes it look like a video game !

i've used both, granted the trijicon i've used was a rxo1nsn model. I like both items.

            Eotech
-i like the halo type reticle
-it's streamlined and pleasant to look at on the rifle.
-batteries are a plus when using AA

            RXo1NSN
            -no batteries needed
-if it's a dot then it's just like any other red dot.
-What i didn't like it's a bit difficult to use in low light since the dot is dependent on ambient light.

Either one you can't go wrong but i've been noticing more and more people are using the eotech.

I've been toying on the idea of getting a low powered variable optic like the leupold mr/t 1.5-5X26.

I just purchased an EOTech 512.65a for $315 shipped brand new from an online retailer (not private party) if that helps your decision.

if you can afford it, get an acog, you won't go back.

for reflex vs. eotech. i like the eotech 1moa dot and the circle is nice as well.

The ACOG is GREAT, but it is totally a different beast....

Both the EOTech and the Reflex are "red-dot, projection" type reticle w/ 1x, the reticle moves around, and you don't need the "eye relief" to see the reticle..... you use these just like using iron "sight"

The ACOG is like 3.5x or 4x or 5x... "fixed" reticle... and you won't be able to "see" unless you are within the "eye relief"... so you have to use the ACOG just like using any "scope"....

To get best of both worlds.... get a ACOG/Docter..... (a DOCTER red-dot sight mounted on an ACOG scope)... pretty pricy tho...

Reflex or Eotech "Neither!!! Go Trijicon TriPower

Reflex or Eotech "Neither!!! Go Trijicon TriPower...

I have all 3 and needless to say there are some advantages to the TRIPOWER AND the EOTECH...

The eotech has night vision capability that is really cool with a PVS 14 or ITT 6015.

Allthough so does the Tripower with a triangular sight. The main advantage to the Trijicon Tripower is the following:

                    1) Runs off the Sun & Battery
                    2) If you end up ever having an ARM L40 rear flip sight with a full picitanny rail. the TRIPOWER is low enough to let you see through everything while co whitnessing the sightes with the A.R.M.S. L40 rear flip... Especially using a SIR or Lewis Machine and Tool rail system.
                    3) Night Vision Compatable
                    4) A.R.M.S. Mount will allow low level co whitnessing.
                    5) The Eotech has a full HALO if you have had any Laser eye surgery... (Thought I''d just voice that opinion...

Just a quick note, since night vision was mentioned:

conceals, or has in his possession a sniperscope shall be guilty of a

dollars ($1,000) or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more
than one year, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
As used in this section, sniperscope means any attachment, device

which, through the use of a projected infrared light source and
electronic telescope, enables the operator thereof to visually
determine and locate the presence of objects during the nighttime.
This section shall not prohibit the authorized use or possession
of such sniperscope by a member of the armed forces of the United

Aimpoint is an awesome red dot unit. Batteries last forever and they are really well built. I have the M3 model with a 2 MOA dot that makes it so targets at greater distances are not totally cover by the dot. It comes with lens covers and a simple rubber cover to protect it.

This only applies if the device on the rifle projects an infrared light. If your NV device has one (most do), you need to remove it before mounting it on the gun.

Back on topic, I love the Holosight. I think it is the fastest sight available. I especially like it on my Remington 870. Just be sure to carry extra batteries on the gun. When the batteries die, the sight just stops working with no warning.

Really? mine will blink when you turn it on to tell you the batteries will need replacement soon. (Eotech)
