    First 80% lower...

Well, thanks to Dr-Death I was able to complete my first 80% lower a few days ago and wanted to share with everyone.

These were before anything was done to the lower.

Put the lower in the TM jig and loaded into the CNC machine and pressed the button. It was pretty cool.

The pocket after the CNC machining.

Drilling of the selector and trigger pin holes.

    It's reaming time!!!

Didn't have time to take pictures while doing the trigger hole but it's there. Afterwards my cousin and I came went back to his house. I had my cousin bring out his AR(Delton). I took out the FCG and started to try it in my 80%. It took some time but finally was able to put it in. Now, for the function test. Function test failed, was able to pull hammer back to engage the sear but when pulling the trigger the sear wouldn't release the hammer. I took out the FCG and tried it onto my cousin's 80%, it was easier to install then mine was. Function test was flawless. I got bummed because now I have a $250 paper weight and came home.

The next day I decided to give it another try. I took out my Spikes build from the safe and took out the FCG(Stag). As I started to put in the pin for the trigger it seemed to go in with no problems, then the same with the hammer pin. I was like "wow." Then I tried doing the function test and VIOLA!!! Everything worked flawlessly. I guess my 80% is just picky on what FCG to use. I guess it really is "unique" LOL...

Have a .001" reading caliper? I would measure both lowers and see where the differences are between them. Or try swapping just the pins from the LPK with the FCG that didn't work with the ones that did.
