    My first conversion

Here are all the pics from my saiga 223 conversion

The first day I got it

    Emptied and Drilled out

    Removed trigger guard

    Heat painted

I opted to reuse trigger guard cuz I'm cheap, this could have been easily screwed up and I did but it was easily hidden

Another view, I didn't screw down front because it's definitely not going anywhere

This is part is my hardware, a Magpul angled fore grip and ati strikeforce foldable collapsible stock, not seen here I also got a discontinued pistol grip which is the desert tan ati strikeforce pistol grip and also a quad rail fore end

Finished product, it shoots so awesome now, I love it, best idea ever

Nice! I am planning to do my first conversion as well. This motivates me to tackle this project. Going to order the parts soon. How exactly did you paint the receiver?

Are you located in CA? I hope not, because that foldable stock is frown upon and is a big no no here. Do not quote me though.

I literally used masking tape and high heat engine enamel, (had this for my motorcycle) I was slowly grabbing the parts but when I found out I was shipping out for boot camp on April 2nd my wife said I could get all my parts for the gun, built it part by part myself, cost about 200 but if you look at the kits out there 200 for my setup is pretty good

Thanks for the compliments I really appreciate it

As long as the gun is over 30" while the stock is folded and you have a bullet button, you are fine.

^ what he said. Might want to pull out the measuring tape, that is probably under 30in when folded.
