Quick question for you experts, what would it take to convert a top fed fn fal back to standard detachable mags w/ bullet button? Any help would be appreciated, thx.

Depends on how the mag is secured. If it's a set screw like mine was, all you need is a new mag catch, spring, dust cover and the maglock. If its welded in, then your in for some work.

If its welded then you need a dremel, a steady hand, and a lot of time

Thanks, for the info guys. My understanding is that the rifle is restricted to top feed via metal set screw similar to what CaliB&R stated, with no welding. Can someone give me an idea of what parts I need to convert this to standard detachable mag with bullet button? I'm just not into top feed rifles, and will avoid this one if I can not easily convert it. Also where can I find these parts?

Do they belong in the same sentence? Definition of a BB is to have fixed mag. If u have standard detachable mag with BB, u have an AW.
