    another AR 15 question

I have an AR15 bushmaster XM15. It is reregistered several years ago as an assault weapon. I have quite a few 30 round mags. It is not the california special. It is what the rest of the world calls an AR15. My question is this.....If i want to do say a 3 gun comp is it legal? Can i use the big mags? I know the range is ok (I think). Can i change the upper on it to say a flat top 204 for yotes?

Yes to all (if you owned the mags before the ban).

Yes, and while you are at it you may want to get familiar with some of the gun laws. There are links (above for flowchart)and on the home page for more info. Welcome to Calguns

Yes to all of the above.
If you get really "into" 3 gun, I can build you a more specialized 3gun upper too.
