I call Vq every 6 months or so to ask. Last time was just before the lower craze hit (maybe November 2005). At that point, they CLAIMED to be manufacturing the first production ones, and beginning to ship backorders. They told me that if I put an order in right now, it would not ship until summer 2006.

In addition, there is a whole slew of bolt-action .223 rifles: Remington, Sako, Tikka, ...

The Vq Evolution should be very good quality-wise. (The price is around $1.8K ???)
