Any value for UFH M1 Garand bayonet?

Sorry, I dont have any pics since my wife took my digicam when she left last week. I WILL try to use my moms camera later to take pics....

I have an M1 Garand bayonet that is marked:

    U.F.H.

    U.O.S.

Here is an example picture (NOT MY BAYO!)

It has a blade length of 10" and is sharpened on one side only. It has an "eagle head" on the end of the grip.

The scabbard has a "wood grain" appearance to it and is green parkerized. It also has "HMAK" marked on the scabbard.

    The bayonet resembles this one:

My bayo has a slightly different "cut" on the blade back where it meets the ricasso... The scabbard looks identical to that but mine is in better shape (IMHO anyway)

From what I can tell its a US Army bayo with a scabbard from Holland (the HMAK mark told me that from my limited research)

Obviously you guys need to see pics, but what would the APPROXIMATE value of something like this be?

Any help is appreciated. IMHO my bayo is nicer than both I have shown above.

    Thanks

Yah I was planning on selling it, but I want to be sure the buyer gets a fair deal. I would probably consider trading it for ammo as well (SS109/9x19/9x18/22LR)

      Thanks

            Thanks

              Denmark.

Holland doesn't really have a military of its own since it is not a county.

Though you have it right that saying Holland is like saying New England and neither are countries but regions in countries, in the English speaking world Holland is synonymous with the Netherlands as describing the low country.

Denmark is a whole other animal not related to Holland and a Nordic/Scandinavian nation instead of a Germanic nation. Those are two completely and different countries.

Anyway what does this all have to do with the price of water melons in Nepal during insurrections in Tibet when bought by barter with beef from Argentina that ate Corn raised in America that was smuggled over the Kyber pass by the one legged Dutchman.

                  I've highlighted the connection.

A good condition 10" M1 bayonet such as yours should fetch $100+ as this is rare today. It was manufactured by UFH = Union Fork and Hoe. The "UOS" is actually US on either side of a flaming cannon ball. The original manufactured 10" versions are rare as these were made later in the war. When ordinance switched to the 10" version they recalled and cut-down most of the 16" versions in service, making a 16" bayonet even more rare.

The scabbard is actually less valuable as has been pointed out it is foriegn made - dating from the 50's probably.

If you plan on getting a 1903, 1903A3, or M1 I would keep it. Otherwise, don't let go of it cheap. I paid $75 for a new condition 10" cutdown with correct scabbard several years ago. The same is going for over $100 today.
