The wood gives it a really different look.

I'd by the parts in kit form if available. I would not spring for a complete rifle.

I dont like how the bolt release is shrouded on that side charger. Looks like an Ameetec or similar upper. Very nice looking but I dont like that one aspect.

Wood is cool.

Most people do have experience...you're looking at an ar lower, an ar upper with side-charging handle, and wood furniture.

That upper might look pretty cool on the blackstar lower with matching wood-stock.

At first glance, the left-side charging handle would appear to work better with the black-star layout except that locking the bolt back manually would appear to be somewhat awkward.

Eh. I dunno. I normally like wood but this thing's almost sacreligious.
