Buffer/spring for AR Pistol??

Will a standard H buffer work for an AR Pistol? I have a Spikes ST-T2 and a Parallax tactical H buffer. From what I've read the Spikes is a little bit heavier

.... does it matter for an AR pistol since the buffer tube is generally a little shorter?

Use a carbine length buffer in a carbine length buffer tube.
If your buffer tube is shorter, you would need a shorter buffer with a standard length carrier, or a shortened carrier in order to run a carbine buffer.
