    Remington 700 - 338?

I just saw that there is a police model out. Can someone fill me in on this model rifle a little bit more?

Anyone know if I can order one and ship it to Rogers?

    TIA.

Check the CPRC forum there is a post about them there. Also snipers hide.

On the website it doesn't denote "lapua", am I missing something?

Also, where can I order it and have it sent to Roger's for a reasonable price?

This would be new, as remington doesn't have any gun out that has a large enough bolt face for the .338 lapua. Are you sure it's not .338 RUM?

I know, I spent a lot of time trying to find a bolt for my .338 lapua remington before finally realizing I had to open up the bolt face and put in a sako style extractor.

I talk to the guys at SCPX and they said they sold out of the first shipment in 2 minutes so pre-order if you want one.

Compared to an AI or Sako, that thing is a deal. When I get my tax money back, I think I'll get one..

I couldn't justify spending that much on ammo, .308 will get me past 800m which is what our range will go out to.

Or go the route that I did and it actually isn't too much more if you were going to do swap out parts anways and consider yourself only really buying a action and barrel ($1150):

                          $850 Stiller TAC338 Action
                          $300 Rock Barrel
                          $1000 AI 2.0 Stock
                          $100 Timney Trigger

And despite popular belief, reloading means you only spend $1 per trigger squeeze.
