I am looking into getting a detachable carry handle for my flat top AR-15 upper. I have noticed (for obvious reasons) that the hole in the handle is smaller than the A2 carry handle. Can you actually get your fingers in the hole to use it as a "carry handle"?

Me too! Talk about false advertising. In any type of fight, & especially gun fights, there are no winners ..... just varying degrees of losers. The only fight you win is the one you never get into.

Missleading tittle on the thread..... Just look at the usual suspects that have posted..
I have a detachable carry handle and only the tip of my fingers fit..Originally posted by tankermanI think most folks bubba their AR's because they watch too many action movies, play too many video games and don't understand how to socialize properly, so they fantasize about being 'action hero's'. Kind of like little girls playing dress-up.Originally posted by Douglas711Is everybody stocking up on guys now? Just curious some gun prices seem to be getting high.Comment

Wow!!!
You don't want to know what my first thought was!!!
Anyway, I can't seem to comfortably get my fingers in there either.Comment

Actually it's called a 'carry handle' because it's designed to carry optics on your rifle (this was before the M1913 was developed and standardized).
It's not meant for you to carry your weapon like a suitcase.Comment

I recently bought a carry handle for my AR last week after doing some searching for the best one. I initially wanted to go with a Tapco one but when I saw on their website that it was imported (prob. from china), I said forget about it. I then wanted to get the CAA carry handle, but I didn't want the CAA markings on the left side of the handle.
I ended up going with a carry handle from ARMALITE by way of DSG.ARMS.
The fit is tight and the finish is excellent. The only gripe I have with it is that the thumb screws that DSG shows on their website aren't the same screws that came with the handle.
btw....Mine has a square mark on the right side of my handle. Does this mean that it was forged???? good or badComment
