Want a Barrett .416 (just musing)

Ever since a shot a .50 a number of years ago, I've wanted one. Not sure what in the heck I'd do with it, other than turn money into smoke and put big holes in big things a long way down range and giggle like an idiot.

Since California says I can't have one, I never thought it about much until I happened upon Barrett's .416 solutions, even a M82A1 chambered with .416 and a bullet button.

Hmm.

So anyone shoot one of these little jewels? Where in the heck does someone go to shoot one, ie, turn money into smoke and giggle like a fool?

the .416 is a beautiful round. Its not worth shooting under 800 yards. Its a 1,600-2,000 yard rifle. I would recommend BLM in barstow or towards 29 palms.

I was going to pick one up, but the price of the rounds and ability to obtain them was a turn off for the rifle.

Consider .50 DTC. Ammo is much cheaper, ballistics are identical to .50 BMG, uses the same reloading components and you have a much wider selection of rifles or AR compatible uppers.
