I was shooting my savage 10 wood stock yesterday, at a bench, but with a sling, so the rifle was tight in to my shoulder without the use of my right hand on the stock. When I was ready to shoot, I just put my thumb against the back of the trigger guard and pinched the trigger. It may just be that the stock doesn't fit me perfectly, but this seemed like a good way to hold the gun in a very relaxed manner, and pull the trigger without disturbing anything. And my groups were better than usual yesterday. Anyone else do this?

That is how I shoot my heavyguns. You can push on the trigger guard to push the gun back against the front stop very quickly that way.Last edited by LynnJr; 07-23-2013, 11:02 AM.Lynn Dragoman, Jr.
