    Magpul MBUS rear sight problem

I tried posting this in the optics section, but didn't get any responses. I know a lot of people here have Magpul MBUS flip up sights. Has anyone had an issue with the rear sight not flipping up when the left handle is pushed?

When looking down the sight, if I press the right handle, it flips up fine. When I press the large center button, it flips up fine. When I press on the left side, it seems like it doesn't have enough travel...

When pressing on the left side, the left latch disengages, but it doesn't bring the right latch down far enough. It looks like the left side has an angled piece where the latch can slide past, but the right side doesn't have that angle and it appears to be the issue.

Do you guys see the difference between the right and left hand sides? Should I just shave a little bit off?

I would contact MagPul. Just from looking at their website, it looks like they really stand behind their products.

My rear site had the same problem. All I did was lube the contact points of side release with a little silicone spray and cycled the site about 50 times. Now it works perfect. Or you can send it back to magpul. They stand behind their products 100 percent.

MBUS sites are made of polymer. Your irons are really one of the most important parts of the rifle... Just sayin...
