What if you were to put a rivit in the floorplate of all of your mags and used that as a tool to unlock your mag? A thin and long enough pop rivit would work with a Bullet Button. Just use your next loaded mag to drop the empty. The tool would actually be attached to the gun, but it wouldn't be able to operate the mag release once locked into the gun.

Sure, it would work. The downside is it's on the mag, which isn't the easiest to use "tool." Requires switching hands from the natural reload position, too.
I think these are the way to go:

We have already come up with this idea, it is just taking Prince a while to get me a prototype.www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.Comment

Think about what you're suggesting... how would a rivet on the thumb be convenient? On the trigger finger it would be miserable, unless positioned just right (in the 1st knuckle crease is the most convenient).
I've tried so many of these things...... Seriously, for $5/3 try those stylus things. You'll like them. It takes like 2 minutes to get used to.
The other one that worked for me for a while was to make a small screwdriver scabbard out of 2 zip ties and a piece of rubber tubing.

MM definitely did. You should see the TMLLP paper he wrote up and read about his ordeal. Hard work, no return -- they refused to say.
I know locked mag rifles were. Same thing, no comment. Not after their Evans' debacle.

DOJ BoF has decided to stop giving out letter rulings - mainly because they know they'd have to admit its legal. Note that the letter rulings stopped when the rulemaking expired and they lost the OAL Underground rulemaking battle. I'd call that not coincidental timing...

This thread should serve to explain the mess a bit:
