Help pinning the bushmaster ACR stock

I'm trying to pin the folding stock per the instructions here:

Stock Block, Bushmaster ACR / KRISS Super V

However I can't get past step #2 which is "Remove the stock release button and spring".

How do I remove the folding button to get access to the spring?

Remove the entire stock from the rifle, than fold it so that the spring and button mechanism is accessible. Pull that out, put the pin through the spring, and put it back together. If that doesn't work, YouTube it

How do I remove the button mechanism and spring? That's the part I'm stuck on, I've tried everything to try and get it out.

Ok finally got it. Just had to use a thin enough screwdriver. Thanks all.
