$35 or $30 in quantity isn't a bad deal... the local gun show had vendors wanting $50 per USGI in crappy condition and $60 in like new condition.

I can care less about the prices folks are selling or buying ARs, AKs and mag kits. I did sell an AR, but don't call me a gouger, because I feel if I sell cheap and I see the buyer sell it at a much higher price later then I'll feel like an idiot. When most AR manufacturers are posting one year backorder for their major parts then you haven't seen the worst yet.

I don't know how old you are, but before the 90s AWB I waited too long to get my AR and ended up paying $1200 for a Colt H-Bar. Believe me I hated paying over $50 for hi-cap mags. The craziness was just everywhere and I told myself if prices ever come down I would buy what I wanted. It all depends how all this Ban plays out to prove who the idiots are.

Retailers gouging people is one thing but I am getting tired of people that buy stuff just to turn around and gouge people.

Are we talking about "gougers" and idiots as in panic-buyers? I would say the "idiots" because they're the ones that initiated the panic-buy, and they're also the ones that are pro-longing it; a fire won't burn if it doesn't have fuel or oxygen. If the idiots/panic-buyers would just f**king stop their idiot/panic-buying then there wouldn't be a situation like we're in right now and the gougers would be doing something else, like planting trees or praying in a church.

Why? Supply n demand... Investments= profits/losses.. Don't be mad at the winners and don't laugh at the losers.. If you think the price is to high then don't buy it!

^This. I'm more concerned that your hatin' enough to post the guys ad & phone number, & 30$ is reasonable. I've seen USGI pounded mags for 90$ EACH.

                        Hmm, like subprime mortgage-backed securities?

You need to direct your ire at Goldman Sachs or the Wall St. cartels that run our country.

People buy/sell things at the market price. Don't like it? Don't buy or sell. Pretty simple. Just remember, there are some of these folks out there taking the money they made from selling a gun to feed their families -- don't see anything wrong with that.

The short answer is, the idiots are worse.

As long as they're willing to pay $2,500 for an AR, $700 for a case of ammo, and $400 for 6 AR magazines, the gougers will continue to gouge, and the rest of us will continue to suffer. Actually, gouging isn't always the case. On GB, I saw the bidding on an AR start at $100, and bid up to $2,200.

In fact, if I posted one of my PMAG M3's on GB with a starting bid of $1, it would be bid up to $40-$50 without a problem.

The people who are being consumed by worrying about what others choose to sell THEIR items for, are worse than both of the above, and in reality the true "idiots" as you call them. Unless what they are selling is your property don't worry about what they are doing. If you were more prepared this wouldn't be something you are concerned with it. Everyone is trying to blame everyone else for their lack of being prepared. That's what's wrong with our society. Everyone is more focused on placing blame on others instead of realizing their problems are solely their fault. That's the end of my rant. I can't wait till people stop posting these threads.

I like "gouging", It sets the pace for future supply.

When this all dies down.. and it will. We will be flooded with parts, guns, and ammo. Manufacturers will be more capable in the future, and ready. Whether it will be legal or not is another question.

No, nothing will return back to normal prices.

Failure to plan on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

They called me crazy when I maxed out a credit card. Now I have more supplies than before with a paid off credit card. And the people who called me crazy are scouring the internet and gun shops for ammo, guns, supplies.

People are paying these "crazy" prices because its worth it to them.
