    Some buffer advice please...

Hey guys, I want to change my standard buffer in my Del-Ton and replace it with a H or an H2 buffer. Can anyone give some advice on how to pick the correct buffer for your AR? The reason I want to change it is so I can reduce some recoil.

The buffer - to me- does not make any difference with recoil

It is a small part and will - very slightly- change the impulse of the bolt compressing the recoil spring

If you want to cut recoil consider
    1) adding weight to the gun
    2) adding a blast enhancer- aka muzzle brake or compensator. They direct some of the gas to the sides and or back towards the shooter. The trade off is a louder shot with less felt recoil.
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
    (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

Red Sprinco spring and H buffer for carbine length gas system.
Muzzle break du jour. You pick.
Caveat- DelTons are not always consistant with barrel gas port specs so YMMV.

edit; adjustable gas block makes a difference too.
