Magpul Pmag Windowed Maglevel 10/30 thoughts

I made one of these a while back. I revised it recently with stippling which is actually fun to do. I've always liked the window versions but i figured with a typical block would be visible through the window. also pinning the floor plate to make it permanent would prevent me from adjusting the spring if i ever needed to. (also cleaning) I've seen regular pmags as 10/30 but i dont think I've ever seen a maglevel version

so i added a block internally and nailed it to the mag body. the floor plate comes off and spring sticks out, but that's all. the follower and spring attached to it wont go past the 10 round mark. you cant even see the nail holding the block, but its there

I was just wanted something different for myself and wanted some opinions on it. Is it cool or lame? I only made 2 of these because that's all i need at the range.

that's as far as it comes out

Looks good. Did you just use a soldering iron tip? I might do this with mine.

yup, just a soldering iron. using a fan and wearing a mask helps. a good mask, not a flimsy paper mask.

can you show a pic of how to use a soldering iron to "nail" it?

I would like to do this with my blocks coming.

i made my own block out of plastic and used a real nail to keep it in place, not just a pin. then covered over the nail with stippleness

my original one used a roll pin, so there was a fat hole there which i didnt care for. i'll post up a closer up pic
