    Any idea what this is?.....

    Marked LC 52 (9mm pictured with it for reference). My buddy found this an a old ammo can that belonged to his wife's father. Also in same ammo can was what looks to be 30-06 ammo marked DEN 43 with the tips painted black.

      .50 BMG? The "DEN 43" is corrosive-primed armor-piercing ammo, most likely.

            DEN 43 is WW2 ammo,

            In 1943 Denver Ordnance Plant manufactured almost 5 billion 30-06 and it is amour piercing (which I believe is illegal)

              This thing way to big to be a M1 30 carbine.... That's the 30-06 (the smaller one) next to the one marked LC52 (the bigger ones)

                    hmmmm just took a look back at the old picture.....i am now confused. I was going by just the head stamp.


                    EDIT: do you have any calipers to take measurements? maybe that will help
