    Stripped lower AR-15

Hi... I know there have been tons of posts about this. I got my hunter's certification today, as I am a visa holder I needed it. Now I'd like to buy an AR-15 stripped lower before some law changes... any idea what to do at this point?

If your looking for an AR, don't bother with a lower. Buying parts piece by piece and a lower will be way more than buying a complete rifle.

I personally have (2) lowers and an AR . . . I don't care how much I could get, I will not be parting with them.

I think you may be right. Back a few months ago we could build a basic ar for less than$850. I found a sweet 16" stainless JP barrel at Brownells that broke the bank but I found a stripped lower on Craigslist for $100. I will build an awesome high quality ar for around $1250 in the middle of the madness. I have been lucky so far. I have two or three barrels, b.c. Groups, stripped uppers on back order from several well known vendors. If I ever get the parts I can build some fine rifles, fortunately I was able to grab some stripped lowers at the beginning of the madness. Hang in guys. It looks like we may not see a ban for a bit.

Get in line for a backorder to get retail prices and a long wait or pay through the nose at Gunbroker or the firearms section of sales forum on Calguns to get something a lot sooner.

Expect to pay north of 300 easily up to 900.

I just picked up my lower at TURNERS that I bought for $129 ten days ago.

I think lowers have tanked since the news that no AW ban will pass both houses. Wait a while.

I was at Turners during the week and they had some in stock for $159.... Also was at Gunrunners today in Duarte and they had a handful of complete AR15's and AK47's in stock. . .

Are you a visa holder or green card holder? If you are here on a H1 or L1 holder you can not purchase a firearm. They changed it so you have to have an alien registration number. As a visa holder you don't have one.
I support the NRA, if you are not in, you can't win.

Yeah but you get it your way by building it. That is worth something.

Do not spread false information. One of my co-workers who is on H1 visa just bought a rifle and a handgun last week from a well-known gun store.
