    A2 front sight pins

I purchased this upper from a calgunner, when he built it he did not have the right pins for the front sight, so he made them himself. I would like to replace these, cosmetically they don't appease my eye. Anyone know where I can find some at?

My first build and want things to be right.

I am using the KNS precision front sight pack. Inexpensive and you get a bunch of different "looks". Nice gun!

+1. These are great pins. I ordered a small sight pin from psa. They about $7.75+shipping a piece our you buy the whole set for about $28. Check out amazon and joeboboutfitters. You might find a better deal. Good luck.

I'm sorry I should rephrase my questions. I need the pins that hold the front sight to the barrel. Though, those do look cool.

Those are not pins. Those are front sight "blades".

This is what the OP is talking about:
Shop rifle parts (2,756) at Brownells, including barrels, stocks, triggers, and bolt carriers to customize, repair, or upgrade your rifle’s performance.

OP, what did he use? Finish nails? The "Tales of the Gun" episode on the M-16 had Gene Stoner explaining how the Ordnance Department replaced the taper pins with finishing nails and then reported the gun wasn't accurate. They didn't want anything to do with a plastic gun shooting .22s.

Yup those are the ones I'm looking for, thanks!

I wonder who would ship the fastest, I know PSA is out of the question.

In this market? No one. I'd imagine your best bet for finding them quickly is from a private party or gunsmith.

I just watched that video, and that is one heck of a cool show with lots of good info.

Maybe the politicians and news media should watch, since according to the show, the AR-15 was a CIVILIAN rifle before the military bought it years later. I never knew that.

The biggest concern will be the existing condition of the barrel and FSB.
If the prior installer drilled the pin holes bigger than standard taper pins, you would not be able to ream the holes for standard taper pins.

I have oversized taper pins and the reamer to solve such problems.
