    10/20 Magpul Pmag Question

    I purchased one of these:

which state "These magazines are permanently modified and the floor plate cannot be removed. RifleGear will handle any warranty claim on this product. Please contact Riflegear if you receive a defective magazine."

If I'm ever questioned on it. I would like to explain why the floor plate can't be removed. Based on tinkering with it, I've come to the conclusion that the lid is adhered on all contact locations to the mag body. Is this a correct assumption?

riflegear puts a small pin in the side of the bottom plate. if you look real hard you'll find it. you would have to drill it out to get to it.

I noticed that, but took it as a mold marking since there is one next to it. I see it clearly now, thanks. I'm not looking to take it apart, just don't want bad stuff to happen because I don't know how to explain/prove how it's permanently attached. Thanks again.

No one's going to bother you about it. No need to stress.
