I wonder if there are robots out there built to snatch these deals. Not literally robots but programs on a computer like stock brokers have been using.

Sure demand by regular people is higher and there's enough to go around coupled with limited supply. Also especially that we're in the information age when people see posts like these on this forum and dozens of others.

But it makes me wonder if someone has made one because there is quite an incentive for it. Someone with decent programming skill should be able to I'm sure.

Doesn't really need to be the case for these things to sell out so fast. There are thousands of people looking for ammo and browsing retailer websites around the clock for this stuff. jwatchdog posted this thread at 4:10am, that's already 7:10am on the east coast.

Well my order did go through, but it says back ordered, so who knows when I will get it. Either it was a mistake that they listed it, someone, bought a bunch, or they hardly had any. I've noticed they've taken down all the 223 ammo listings also, even the more expensive stuff that used to be in stock.

Well posting about in-stock items on high-traffic forums is surely a quick way of assuring it runs out of stock almost immediately.
