Question about finish on Stag-15 Lower

The stripped Stag lowers (and others) have an anodized aluminum finish that is black, but not quite as black as the upper which is (teflon ?) coated.

Is there a way to give the lower the same finish as the upper? Does the application of dry film lubricant do the job? Which products would you recommend?

    Thanks.

If you're really worried about it and want a 100% match, the only way is to refinish both the upper and the lower at the same time with the same finish.

Differences in the chemical makeup of the finish of the same brand parts from one day to another can cause them not to match, just like ceramic tile from different lots, or if you have your car's hood repainted after an accident, they need to blend it in.

Unless this is a show piece, just CLP it up, wipe it down and shoot it.

It's an oil, and will evaporate eventually.

          Couple brands:

          Breakfree CLP

I have one of those "silicon rags" and after a couple of minutes on it, the lower looked nice, black, and shiny.
