Nah. Not new. You'd have to get super lucky scoring one from an online vendor, or your local shop. Used? Well.. Same thing- if you can find some good soul who will pity you and sell you a rifle for what it was worth 3 months ago, then yea, but other than that, nope. Uppers 1000+ plus lowers 200+ and that doesn't include stock, lower parts kit or mags.
It's going to be tough. Good luck!

If you can find the parts, you might be able to build a decent upper for that much, but not the whole AR.

I'm in the same boat with my first build (second AR). Gonna have to just wait out the maddness until prices come down a bit.

It can be done, its just really, really hard. I got a complete lower from a calgunner for $450 and then picked up an upper from craigslist for $600. So, a little over your budget, before I kit it all out, and it took me three weeks, but it can be done.
Some folks out there are still reasonable.

It will take you time and a lot of effort looking for the right part at the right price. It will be easier to wait till this gouging dies down and you are able to get the parts you really want. Although some companies are backordered for a very long time such as Stag Arms says they are backordered for 2 years.

deals are out there....I just bought a Full BCM M4 for 900.00 in the Marketplace, after the shooting, I sold one of my M4's to a Calgunner for 900.00 about 3 weeks ago...Stay vigilant on the Marketplace and make reasonable offers.
