I have a Mini 14 that has a Ruger "Birdcage" type flash hider/muzzlebreak on it. I am thinking this may be a evil feature????? Any input from the panel?

Flash hider equals the 1 feature to make it an assault weapon.
Muzzlebrake is still legal
IMO be on the safe side and ditch them both. -

To answer your question: YES
See the chart, either page shows that any semi-auto with a flash suppressor would be considered an assault rifle. Take it off or swap it with a muzzle brake.

Bird cage is generally a FH.
What does it look like? Is it open ended? This gives clues to how it may actually perform.
It also matters what the manufacturer designates it.
If they call it a FH then CADOJ will probably classify it as a flash suppressor.
Everything on featureless rifles and flash suppressors:
If it does have a FH and has a detachable magazine remove it asap!
Note: Threaded barrels, Muzzle brakes/comps are not features.Comment
