Colt upper value.

I have a chance to buy a complete Colt upper from a friend....

Its an Older model colt upper with the handle cast into it... it looks to be in good condition... He claims it came off a Vietman era full auto...

My question is what is the value of it??.. Id like to give him a fair price.. but dont want to pay to much either....

Always ask for price first, this way if he's thinking about $600 and you offer him $800 he's going to take the $800. Just ask for price first.

Hes a very good friend who would take a couple of hundred bucks if thats what its worth... Neither he or I know the value.. other than comparing stuff on GB... I just want to be fair with him...

you need more info. markings on the barrel and BCG? pics?

i've seen a lot of unmarked A2 hbar vietman era "colts"


if it's a real colt then right now it's worth about $800-1,000.

before the panic maybe $500 in nice shape.

No way, not for Vietnam era. Ask if it has the brass deflector. If not, it's the same vintage that comes in those complete parts set for 599ish. So, maybe 400? ish?

can you show us where these $599 parts sets are in stock?

that's why the upper is worth about a grand...
