    Current ak pricing

I know this frenzy has killed the black rifle market, but has It done the same to the ak??

I have been waiting to finish the ar project, before starting an ak. Well the ar was done just before this crap, and I wanna know if the price on ak stuff is all blown out too!!

You know something, I had guns up for sale and I didn't get any offers. They were cheaper then what people would pay for guns that I built at Valkyrie and yet nothing. I finally did sell my AKS 74 for just about what I was asking for it. A week later that douche bag shot those kids and I could have doubled my money.
As for the market, I seen a single stack WASR going for a grand. Don't know if it was sold but that'll tell you how the market is now.
There are 3 kinds of people in this world.

The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

Almost everything is hard to get. Even Mini14s which were not getting much play prior to newtown. Wasrs will be close to 1k and if that's 1k, then m10s, arsenals, etc are going to be more than that.

I say if u can find one, snatch one.

Just to give you an idea..

AR stripped receivers have gone up about 300 to 450%
AK receivers are up about 150 to 200%
And AK parts kits are gone or through the roof.

Yes. Everything has pretty much doubled.

Parts kits: $250 before, $500 now
              WASR: $500 before, $1000 now
Unconverted Saiga: $400 before, $800 now

Magazines have gone the same was as AR mags: $10 before, $40 now.

Ammo has been bad as well, even Wolf 223 has increased to $400/case whereas before it was about $250/case. Brass cased 223 has easily doubled from $300/case to $600/case or more.

AK ammo has not been immune, but hasn't been as bad as 223. Before 7.62x39 was $200-250/case, now $300/case online. Before 5.45x39 was $150-160/can, now $170-180/can (online and gun show prices.)

So although AKs have gone up in price, you may end up having it "pay for itself" in ammo savings.

I was thinking about a 80% AK flat, just for insurance

I know some shops in town selling AKs (nothing special) for $2000

people are paying crazy amounts of money right now

7.62x39mm ammo is continuing to rise. I'm seeing $400+ IF it's in stock. Most of my go to places for AK food are out. My friend called Sportsmans Guide and was told 7.62x39mm ammo is backordered til May.

I wouldn't buy anything AK right now. It's stupid pricing right now. I saw a plain jane Romanian G kit for $800. Everything that has a pistol grip and is semi-auto is priced at panic level. I saw a Century abortion FAL at the Ventura show with a price tag of $2350, LMAO! There are a lot of people trying to buy black guns who have never been into these "scary looking" firearms who are driving up the pricing by getting ripped buy the gougers. P.T. Barnum was so right.

Hmmmmm.... I have been wondering what my new and unfired Romanian SAR-1 from about 1991-92 is worth... It's a good one too, no canted sights, Nothing wrong with it other than some minor (very) scratches that it was probably born with. Bought a half dozen Bulgarian 30-rounders before the federal ban too.

Stuck a grip wrap on it and I've been thinking about shooting it since it's essentially featureless........

Not for sale, but it's got to be worth a hell of a lot more than the $299 I think I paid for it.
My mother always told me to be careful what you ask for.

Just one more piece of parental advice I stupidly ignored.
