Got to Orange Turners when they opened.. I was the second person in line. I went because I needed some .45 for the range and I heard a rumor that they had S&W AR stripped lowers IN STOCK. I figured "what the heck"
I asked the guy if they had the S&W lowers and he said "no way".. I said, are you sure.. he said he didn't know anything about lowers other than the Franklin ones but especially not any IN STOCK. He was nice enough but he gave me the "you're nuts" look.
After pondering I talked with the manager.. he said "no way we could have some in stock..".. I asked him to look since someone on Calguns said they bought two at another store and he was nice enough to do so. As he is logging into thier warehouse he was saying "must be a mistake if someone was sold some, maybe they were "taken" from a customer in line".. I said there should be over 20 in your warehouse.
After a bit he said "holy Fk! we have some!!!"..
So, we all laughed about the customer sometimes being right and I started DROS on TWO S&W lowers at $159.99 each.. I could have bought 5 but I didn't want to be "that guy". There were still over 20 in the warehouse when I left the store at 10:30 this morning minutes ago.
While we were doing paperwork I scouted the room for anyone that looked cool and passed the word around to a few..
Anyways... big thanks to Calguns for giving me the info on this and to the Turners guy for looking in the computer. Funny that they would have that many lowers hanging around that nobody knew about. I have enough part to build one of them, finding the the other parts should be challenging.
Persistance pays off I guess.. so if you hear a rumor don't be shy about pressing your point. Oh and if you're looking be sure to keep an eye on the Riflegear, Turners and the DEALS sections of the board.
And yea, Cool Stary Bra..
