F/A carrier in Ca? BCG question

Hi. Any legal issue using a f/a carrier here in California? A friend gave me some parts to complete a build, and I have a choice between a carrier from a Smith and Wesson M/P, or a Spikes F/A. Which would you choose? Thanx, tk

A f/a carrier has nothing to do with making the gun f/a. It's 100% legal.

I appreciate the answer, thanx. Understand the function of the part, just checking legal considering the nature of our state politically. I am guessing most authorities wouldn't know the difference unless they were familliar with the rifle.
