Am I Screwed?

Hi Guys- I'm new to guns and new to Calguns. Here is my story...

In October I went down to my LGS and placed an order for a Calguns roll marked stripped lower from JD Machine tech. I paid for it in full. They told me it was backordered at the time and it would be a few weeks. I was trying to be proactive and get the lower I wanted before the November election....then all hell broke loose with Aurora and Newtown. Well, I've been going into the LGS every two weeks and they can't tell me anything about when I might see it.

I thought about running out right after the shootings and pick up any lower I could find but I didn't. Since I am in California I really wanted the Calguns lower.

So...Am I screwed? Am I ever going to get the lower I already paid for? Should I go get my money back and buy one of those ridiculously priced lowers on Gun Broker? You guys know way more about this than I do...any comments would be appreciated!

The initial back log will eventually die down and people will be able to find lowers and complete rifles more easily.you will be pissed if you go and pay 400 for a lower and then see one shortly after for regular price. just my opinion. Of course im not jonesing though. Keep a watchful eye at shops in your area.

Depending how close you are to San Diego, you could go directly to JD and back order one through them. I feel like you'd get it from them on back order before some other shop waiting for the same part
