If I have a lower and mark it Pistol can it still be a rifle now or at a later date can I convert it from a pistol to a rifle?

If you build it as a pistol then turn it into a rifle it can never be a pistol again. No matter what marks you put on it.

In a free state you can go back and forth in this state just rifle. Don't do swaps at a range and listen for helicopters before the switch lol
