    Got A New Rifle

Loving my newer LWRCI M6-SL/NFA LW-15 AR-15. That's right...and it's based on a polymer lower. Reliability and light weight were initially the major focus of this build, but being different was also a big factor for me. My brother has shot 1K's of rounds through his NFA polymer lower, and this is the second of these types of lowers that I have utilized amongst a sea of other complete builds by the likes of Colt, LWRCI and S&W to name a few. I wouldn't hesitate to take this gun into a fight, and I plan on tricking it out more. Most recent mod was barrel chop from original 16" to 14.7" done by Randall at AR15 Barrels (whom I would recommend to anyone in need of gunsmith/machine work). Don't get me wrong, I have metal lowers too and am not trying to start a debate between the two as I love everything AR, so don't start. This is just a super fun rifle and thought I'd share.

In this political climate, the fact that you have one is a good thing. Shoot it, enjoy it.

Do you feel going for a lightweight build is worth it? It probably limits your accessories too?

Do you mind if I ask what it cost to have the barrel chopped?

Thanks for the positive responses guys. As noted I've had some cool AR rifles in the past... The one I just realized I missed notating in my original post and liked the most back when i started was my BCM carbine (middy wasn't available at the time of that purchase). However, I always wanted to do the light weight thing and the best thing about having this is the wife and kids alike can enjoy it. Just scored a slightly used but excellent priced SSA trigger too so ill have to get some KNS anti rotating pins to go in at the same time. As far as feeling limited in what type of mods, no... Just still having reservations about the X-factor on the lower but so far so good.

Well that's a snazzy looking AR, man!

This is almost exactly what I am building right now. Same furniture with a PSA lower and Spikes lightweight barrel. Just need a FSB with .626" ID and have Randall pin it.
