    PTS vs. real Magpul

I bought a Magpul ACS-L recently. Is there a way to make sure it isn't a PTS product?

I still can't believe Magpul purposely allows this confusion into the marketplace. It diminishes their brand IMHO.

They don't allow any confusion at all, PTS products are clearly labeled as PTS on the packaging. The confusion comes from retailers poorly indicating that the particular item is a PTS item.

There are however counterfeit products pretending to be PTS or even normal magpul stuff.

I ran some PTS stuff on my AR to try it out. The only thing i ended up still using is the RVG. I tried a pts milspec tube ctr stock and it worked, but was very loose so no good. The only other think I might trust would be the back up sights? Anything that I want to for sure be Magpul, I pay a little extra and buy from a reputable store who gets it straight from Magpul.

i was looking at Magpul on Flea bay last week and a guy had 2 questions both asking if it was PTS or MOE. Both times he only responded "This is genuine Magpul" I bought from Brownells instead.

Always try to buy from a reputable dealer or source. I bought an ACS from a member here claiming to be real. It was not PTS it was a complete knock off. So very bad. Magpul stuff is notorious for fakes.
