I buy all my ammo at once, so I have the same lot. Ensure everything is tight. I also, alcohol swab the barrel before I shoot. I shoot high if any lube in the barrel till its out.

Did you remember to reset to zero???? Sometimes people forget to set turrets back to original zero when/after they shoot, then when they shoot later, they were on turret zero, but not actual original zero. When zero'ed, count clicks for both turrets so you know what to count incase they are off original zero, and you don't know where you are at.

Given this information is there a reason that the round would behave in such a manner? Any help would be appreciated.
That might be your problem. If you're missing by FEET and everything is tight, its the scope. Leupolds aren't generally known for being super reliable in the LR community, especially on a heavy recoiling rifle. A rifle like that is screaming for a 5.5-22 Nightforce.

Conversely, did you check at any time to make sure you had a good 100 yard zero? Did you perhaps dial to zero but went the wrong way and now you're a rev off? Seen that happen many times. Being a rev out could explain what you were seeing. How many mils per turn on that scope?

That is on the list of things to get for this gun but just dont have the coin for it at the moment. I was going to get a set of the Barrett Zero Gap Rings. I did use this scope on my AR15 out to 500 yards and had to issue with it but I am sure the recoil being a bit more stout with the 338 is setting things off.

Truth be told, skip the S&B. I've had 3 of them and they have all failed. Shifting zeros, failure to return to zero, even a catastrophic failure. I personally know of about a dozen S&Bs from multiple guys here just in socal that have all experienced the same thing. Not one of them still owns a S&B. All Nightforces and Bushnell HDMRs primarily now.

As for rings, you'll have a hard time beating Badger. They just flat work.

Now is a great time to buy on used NFs. A SFP 5.5-22 could be had for 1500 or less. And on that rifle, FFP optics really aren't too necessary. At least for the way in which I would employ the rifle. Probably wouldn't be shooting anything inside 1k with it.
