You forgot to add Springfield M1A to that list. =P I love my featureless M1A, no bullet button necessary. No regrets glad I bought it earlier this year.

        Sorry .LOL

The point of this thread is , "How are they going to be effected or how they might be effected if the AW Ban will pass" ?

Well, you saw the bill they plan on trying to pass, its floating around. Not much different then what we have already in CA.

We dont know what will be in the new proposed federal ban for sure, just the "talking points". But, we DO know that DiFi has been pushing the same bill every year since the AWB expired, her or McCarthy.

And from that bill we know for an absolute fact that the "list" of firearms that will be banned included variants of Mini-14, M1a rifles, M1 Carbines, and a host of other rifles that in CA would be considered "featureless".

Dont think for one second that any semi-automatic rifle is "safe" in the eyes of these people. Just because it has a wood stock or cultural/historical significance does not exepmt it from their "lists". Remember the Beretta BM59, functionally and cosmetically almost identical to a M1A is banned by name in CA. In the past the "big name" manufacturers have been able to get themselves taken off of these lists. No gaurantees..

              THIS:
              They want them all.
Any that slip through will only because they write the bill badly, but ask anyone that registered an SKS how that went.

Which is partly the reason they only saw 10% compliance with AW registration in 1999.
