    Sell or Not to Sell

I have couple "extra" AR15s that I bought for investment purposes a while ago. I had the feeling that the Feds and more realistically CA would try to ban black guns, causing a price increase. My question is should I:

    - sell now

    - hold on a while longer, prices will only continue to go up

    - don't sell them

Sell them for pre panic price to people that actually want/need them.

^^ doesn't understand the term investment. He doesn't owe anyone that wants (laughing at NEEDING one) an AR.

OP, I would sell maybe one now, and hang onto a couple. You can probably get more for them if a ban goes through.

For the right $$$, sell if they are investments.

If investments wait a bit more. If they are gonna push a ban through they will double in price. Double from current sale price.

sell before the ban as you won't be able to transfer your ARs after a ban becomes law.

But when there's a Federal Ban being talked about then again The Ban. I don't know if you can sell them .

I would piece it out on gunbroker next week. Even if a ban happens it will take time to enact. Sell while rumors run wild.

I would sell now and take advantage of these people willing to spend the $$$. Things will calm down and prices will go back to normal. many are freaking out when I dont think they need to be. If i was anyone the only thing i see leaving is 20,20 rd mags.

I guess you don't understand that IF a ban passes and transfers go bye bye there will be some amount of time before it goes into effect.

As for the OP, you could sell now and get whatever markup you can.

If you wait and the ban goes through, then people will really go crazy and you could double maybe even triple your money as people frantically try and get whatever they can before the ban goes into effect.

If the ban flops, prices will go back to normal and the opportunity to cash in disappears ( until the next panic).

I'd sell soon. Many distributors are pushing for AR lowers to be coming out for sale mid to late January.

                              investment

since they were bought as a investment (as many collectors do ) i would think cost averaging them out over the next yr or so (or months) would be wise... cheers...
