Also found "build your own uppers" at Model 1 Sales. Anyone tell me what's a better barrel, Chome lined, Chome Moly or Stainless steel???

FWIW, if you're trying to beat a ban their backorder is not viable.

I called Model 1 up before the new year and asked the lady answering the phones if I ordered an upper how long it'd take.

Six months.

Surprised, I asked again

DS Arms.com had them, minus BCG's. I had to wait 6 months for some lengths, but others were in stock just a few weeks ago (they mfg everything except BCG's).
