Problem w/ ar-15 front takedown pin

Putting together my 1st lower. Was going great until I went to put in front takedown pin. Dropped in spring, (which there was 2 of the exact same in lpk-along w/ detents) then Detent. Got razor blade, held down detent & slid in pin all the way. Then I went to pull it out and it won't budge. It pulls a little over a 1/16th out and stops. Tried yanking on it w/ pliers but still won't come out. Any suggestions? Kinda frustrated.

Push on it from the other side with a nonmarring punch? or a plastic ballpoint pen or something similar that will fit

Did you drop the detent in upside down?
If its in correctly it just needs to get worn in a bit...

        front pin

pull or push on it while twisting back and forth. See if that works.

is the detent in the groove? it may just be gritty. I forget if you can put the detent in backwards or not but it should be a pretty simple solve. dont fret we will help

Thanks guys. Will try to wiggle it while pulling. Pretty sure the pin can only go in one way and I remember looking at the Detent and seeing that both ends are the same. It did feel a little gritty when it went in. I've since put some frog lube on it. I've also tried a punch from the other side...maybe I gotta be a little more forceful?

Like others had said. Dont panic. Its just tight. Do as suggested above. Just get a non marring punch and tape it out. Mine was the same and after a few times it smoothed itself out.

I would try to clean or lube that pin way more... sit it somewhere where the pin is free and tap it out with a punch. A medium tap should knock it free. Id then clean/lube and try to cycle that pin a few times.
