    Remington 700P LTR .308 Glass

New to the precision rifle thing and just picked up a Remington 700P LTR in .308. Now I need glass and a bipod. Any recommendations from anybody shooting a similar setup?

    Thanks

All depends on how much you want to spend. Vortex PST is a good priced scope and very clear for the money. If you want to step it up a bit, go night force. If not, maybe go Bushnell. Do yourself a favor and research if FFP or SFP is for you.

Did you get out of boats?

Vortex PST is what is on my kids rifle similar to yours and works out great along with a 6-9" Harris bipod with a pod lok to control the swivel tension.

Weaver Tactical is another option. I love the 3-15x50 EMDR that I have. Easily on par with scopes that retail for a few hundred more. I'll be moving mine from a Mk12 to a Remington 700 5R 300WM.

Really it comes down to how much you are looking to spend & what you plan on doing with the rifle. You could spend a few grand or a few hundred.

I upgraded from a Busnell 3200 10x to a SWFA 5-20 scope and harris bipod on my LTR. It's probably more magnification than I need, but I still like it. Upgrading to a better scope didn't make me a better shooter. The only thing the new scope did for me was make it so I can actually see my bullet holes in the paper.

Harris SBRM and Bushnell G2DMR. You can't go wrong.
