    switch on right side of some AR lowers

    i was waching a video about ARs earlier and i noticed the one the guy was featuring had a switch on the right side of the lower reciever that i dont see on all ARs can someone tell me what that switch is for please.
    you can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hand!

    ambidextrous safety so you can operate it from either the left or right side.

      No. he had one of those too but i knew what that was. it was a longer switch just behind the mag release.

            It's an "anti-walk pin" they prevent the hammer and/or trigger pins from moving or falling out.

                    Why do people why the anti walk pins, if your pins dont walk in the first place?

                      When I built my Stag lower with a PSA LPK the trigger pin was walking out of the hole. I checked pin alignment with the hammer spring multiple times but for some reason the spring in the groove was not enough to keep the pin from walking itself out thus allowing the trigger to cam slightly sideways. That is why I bought KNS pins. I could have got the DPMS pins with the C clips I suppose.
