Recommendation for a mini 14 sling?

I'm looking for a cotton sling for my Mini 14. I've read that some people are using an M1 sling but all the ones I've seen are 1.25" wide, and the sling loops on my Mini-14 are 1".

Any recommendations?

Go to the Tech sights website. Not only do they make and sell better USGI type rear sights for your mini, they have 1" USGI cotton slings, with the correct hardware to do loop and hasty sling. Green and black. Merry Christmas!!

I have the Vickers combat sling on all of mt rifles. My Saigas have a 1" loop. I shoved the 1.25" sling through and it works just as good as my other rifles.

The GI canvas slings work really well. The 1" wide sling for the M1 carbine should fit the mini 14.

I use USGI cotton web swings on all of my firearms. I seemed to recall I had to swap to a skinnier one on my NRA Mini-14s though.

Plain black Blackhawk 2pt sling...$10 or less.

Depends on purpose / use. Every sling mentioned works well. Comes down to how you want to set up your Mini ? Suggest you look (if you already haven't) at the sling videos posted on Youtube. Vickers, Blackhawk, and Specter Gear all have videos. Once you decide, it will be a much easier choice. Hunting / field carry: 2pt. Tactical: 2 or 3pt. My choice: Vickers Blue Force 2pt. w/ quick adjuster. This one gives you some options, is made in U.S.A., and will last a lifetime ! Good luck !
