    Good AK

What would be a decent price to pay for an AK? Also, how well can an AK group at 100 yards?

        at 100 yards,
with an AK47, if you know how to properly pull the trigger
(unlike that old man in "AK47 vs M16 video")
        no difference than AR15.

with an AK74, improved accuracy and much less recoil.

Bulgarian, Hungarian, East German, Polish, Russian and American (using Eastern European Parts) are the best.

My personal top pics are Bulgarian and Hungarian, plus the Polish.

Buy one from Arsenal Inc. and be done with it.

AKs aren't made or designed for grouping. I've never even bothered trying with mine. I would guess a good one could pull 2MOA.

I'm not sure why you're really looking for groupings out of an AK. Different tools for different jobs.

With the proper NDS receiver and a Russian parts kit, you would still be OK. You just can't buy any of the on-list Russian or Chinese manufactured complete AKs.

Just get a Saiga and be done with it! Russian made AK for less than any of the types mentioned, and the best quality.

hmm i like these saigas...the non pistol-grip style rifles should be fine to buy without having to worry about receivers or any other features right?

oh, and what which ak-style saiga would you recommend? i can spend about 400 on this rifle.

The disadvantage of a Saiga is that the trigger group is moved (not lending itself to a good trigger pull) and it doesn't use standard AK mags (but can be modified to do so).

If you want the Saiga to be essentially an AK, then 16" barrel 7.62x39.

If you live in socal go to ammo bros. I just got a Lancaster NDS-3 (OL Ak47,Polish parts w/ american receiver) there and it's really nice, put a monster man grip on tonight and I really like it. $670 out the door for the rifle and a 5 round mag.

                            They have WASR-10
a another type of OL ak for about $50 less, but... they're not nearly as nice.
