Does the original AK a standard double stack magazine, or single?

The standard AK takes a double stack mag. IIRC, the Wasr(?) has a model that took a single stack.sigpic -
Original AK magazines are double-stacked.
Single-stack AK magazines were created to comply with US importation laws.
All WASR are imported for use with single-stack AK magazines and most are modified & made 922r compliant by Century Arms to use double-stack AK magazines. It's why some WASRs have magazine wobble issues with some types of double-stack AK magazines.sigpic
