AR-15s sold out statewide by New Years Day?

Anyone else think the pace of sale right now is high enough that all AR-15s and receivers will be sold out statewide by 1/1/13? I know it got close to happening in 94 and 99 but prices went through the roof and it didn't... But I actually think it might just happen due to all elements that create high demand comming together at the same time. And no I'm not egaged in tin foil hat revelry this thread is a serious discussion.

I don't see EVERY piece of hardware being sold out. You have to take into account people that knew this was coming and stocked up long before the elections and certainly the recent shootings. In addition, gun shops are smart motherf**kers; they've been stocking up all along and from what I've seen, have kept up with all of the crazed buying very well. I'd wager that they've got plenty left to go around. After the election I had no trouble finding guns or 'ammo or zombie paraphernalia on the shelves...

You're right Myk, paranoia or not gun shops and manufacturers will gear up production and meet demand because they want to make money. Maybe I should have purchased stock in some of them instead of just guns because their stock will definitely increase substantially in the short term if not long term.

From my past experiences its the receiver that needs to be owned prior to a ban... Therefore while the lack of bolt carrier groups is annoying its not likely to be heart breaking in the event of a ban.

And I don't think receivers will be sold out state wide. And even if they are, you can always order them online and have them shipped to a FFL. I have never not been able to find a shop online that has stripped lowers in stock. Just my .02

Davidson's sold $2,800,000 by noon west coast time today. They are completely out of ARs.

Im going tomorrow to Turners for the 100 sale on Mega lowers... Fat chance I will be able to get one. But between there and Addax Tactical Im hoping to buy or order a lower tomorrow

One tiny vendor I called sold 4,000 pmags over the weekend. Stuff will trickle in but most is sold out now or will be in a day or two.

Yeah, Turners by me was packed and every time I went in the last couple of weeks to days I've seen rifles disappear from the self. Get'em while you can I say. Shoot I even got a 80%er from Ares to be on the safe side.
