Being a Local Guy I drove With Pat Jones in his Truck (With his Dog) to the last Reno Gun Show and talked ad Nauseaum (For hours) about OLL and other things Firearm Related (Including about my Beloved WASR 22 that Rich (Olde West)ordered for me from Classic Arms (Indian Trail NC.) $249.95 and how nice it is not having to play the OLL/922r game with a rimfire AK (pistol Grip/Detachable Mags/ European Parts as opposed to USA crap... ) and it's their shop and if they wish to carry or not carry Inventory it's their call not ours and do your own leg work (You know as well as I their is not too many Gun/FFL options) but since you seem so lost Try (Bobby Fisher 232-1079) He is the Guy who sells Firearms at the Market Gas Station in Palo Cedro/ Old 44 I saw AR's there in his display case 5 months ago (When I was first Hyped about GSG 5 and wanted him to look into Pre Order)...Comment

Having known the Jone's for over 30 years, I can assure you that they are most certainly NOT illiterate. They operate a very nice, friendly gun store. As far as being redneck, most of us up here take that as a compliment after seeing the laws and legislators being forced upon us by the big city voters. I remember when we tried to split off from the rest of California and form a new state
As far as I know, there is not case law supporting the BB concept yet for OLL receivers is there? Having receivers returned and charges dropped is not the same as case law precedent is it? The Jones' are like the majority of CA firearms dealers who would rather operate with an abundance of caution and not risk their livelihood given the misinformation that the DOJ feeds them until there is specific case law. Is they are spouting disinformation, its because thats what the DOJ is telling them."You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
"What we get away with isn't usually the same as what's good for us"
"An extended slide stop is the second most useless part you can put on a 1911"
"While Ruger DA revolvers may be built like a tank, they have the aesthetics of one also,
although I suppose there are a few tanks which I owe an apology to for that remark"Comment

I think the reason is either its the tast of the store owner or what they think their customers would like.
Long before the CA AW ban - I mean back in the early 80's, only a few stores in the area carried AR15's. Reed's, Outdoor World in Santa Cruz, and a place in Gilroy were the only places you could find the paramilitary stuff. The older guys don't like that stuff.
In the 80's, these Bay Area dealers carried evil AWs.. The Traders in San Leandro, Eddies guns in Sunnyvale, Fremont Discount Guns \ Tri City Sports in Fremont, Target Masters in Milpitas...Comment
